VCI Polycoated Paper

VCI Polycoated Paper is a composite packaging material consisting of kraft paper laminated with a polyethylene (PE) film layer, with VCI chemistry incorporated into the PE coating. This combination creates a paper that provides mechanical strength from the kraft substrate, moisture resistance from the PE lamination, and active corrosion inhibition from the VCI compounds.

The polyethylene layer significantly enhances the moisture barrier properties compared to plain VCI paper, making it ideal for outdoor storage, humid environments, and sea-freight shipments where condensation is a risk factor. It is widely used for wrapping steel sheets, pipes, tubes, and structural sections.
